[ With that, he smiled and topped off his whiskey before coming around to sit beside her. The two glasses would probably do him for the night, considering the fact that he was still contending with a bit of a headache. ]

[that was actually pretty smooth, she's impressed. A nod and she lifts her glass idly.]

Oh good, I have a companion again.

Is the alcohol and good company method of therapy working?

Just what the doctor ordered. Well, not really, but it's a hell of a lot better prescription than resting.

"Resting" is another word for "do whatever you want", as far as I can tell.

So good choice on that.

His lips quirk wryly at her second comment. ]

Someone's gonna have a lot of bullshit footage to sort through if they think this is enough horror to entertain anybody.

Okay, okay, you were maybe a Bystander. Innocent? I don't believe that.

Well, I assume so. It was just a metaphor, though, because otherwise I'd have to make whoever has been taping me without my permission pay.

You know what's sad is that's the first thing I've heard that actually would kind of explain things around here.

Believe me, I am completely on board with that. Somehow it's even creepier than the other theories I've heard.

Oh good. Maybe I can win an award for "best reason to not sleep comfortably at night". It's been a dream of mine.
