You really think so? You're not just saying that?

[ because if donna really genuinly believes that, well, it will be easier for her to swallow. kurt's cynical about it, about everything, these dayss, but Rachel — she'd like to stay as optimistic as she can. ]

[That just receives an arched eyebrow in response.]

I don't say things I don't believe. I've got my own reasons for thinking so, sure, but--yeah. I think they're okay.

[because they have to be, ultimately. She refuses to believe anything else, and so this is instilled with just as much confidence as the rest of her.]

Okay. You're right. i mean, what else would they be? [ a lot of things, eep. she continues quickly. ] Thank you, Miss Paulsen.

[ and she offers a small smile. ]

[she knows it's not as reassuring as it could be, but it's the best she can do. This place works on different rules and guidelines, and she doesn't know them all yet.

So the next best thing is to try to take her mind off of it.]

Now tell me, how much Shakespeare do you know off the top of your head? Or is it mostly musicals?

[ immediately: ] I know Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night, and Hamlet particularly well. I've also studied most of his comedies and tragedies. [ a beat. ] My knowledge concerning his histories isn't as substantial, though.

[executiveassistant]

[She's nodding quickly, a pleased little smile curving her lips.]

That's okay, not many people spend time delving into the histories. You've got some good ones stored up in your head, and that's all that matters.

See, I'm still determined to put on that show of talent in some way or another, and I'll need some fellow Shakespeare enthusiasts to help me out.

Of course. Count my friend Kurt and I in — and I'm sure there are others who would be interested, too. [ she visibly perks up as she thinks of an idea. ] Are you going to ask around to gauge interest or make flyers?

I can definitely help with that.

[wow cute. This could be a pretty good distraction for poor Rachel, now that she thinks about it.]

Hmm, alright. You seem to be pretty on top of things like this.

[She nods, as if coming to a sudden decision.]
