You've reached the voicemail of Donna Paulsen. I am currently unavailable, but if you leave your name and a brief description of what you need, I will get back to you just as soon as I can.
[oh no, her cute little fellow arts lover sounds very distressed, and for this, there is only one response.]
I have Chunky Monkey ice cream, a room with an extra chair and a free afternoon. That's my final offer, take it or leave it.
[these things must be discussed in person over gal pal bonding ice cream, obviously. She's not going to leave you in the lurch, new student-she-has-taken-under-her-wing.]
[ROLLER SKATES girl, what period of time are you even living in.
she can't even hide her incredulity, but...well, she waves Rachel in even as she looks that little bit incredulous.]
While not nearly so effective as ice cream, it's not a bad way to deal with woes.
[She's just going to grab the ice cream (it's in mike's emptied and cleaned vacuum cleaner stuffed with ice cubes they are genius) and the spoons. The ice cream is 3/4ths gone, but there's still some decent chunky monkey in there, and Donna is banking on it.]
...this seems to be an ongoing problem. Just like Harvey, huh. And she's choosing to believe Harvey isn't dead or lost because he's too damn smart for that so--]
...Yikes. I take it he's not the sort to go wandering off alone?
[ because if donna really genuinly believes that, well, it will be easier for her to swallow. kurt's cynical about it, about everything, these dayss, but Rachel — she'd like to stay as optimistic as she can. ]
[she knows it's not as reassuring as it could be, but it's the best she can do. This place works on different rules and guidelines, and she doesn't know them all yet.
So the next best thing is to try to take her mind off of it.]
Of course I'm right. But sure, no problem.
Now tell me, how much Shakespeare do you know off the top of your head? Or is it mostly musicals?
[ immediately: ] I know Romeo and Juliet, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Twelfth Night, and Hamlet particularly well. I've also studied most of his comedies and tragedies. [ a beat. ] My knowledge concerning his histories isn't as substantial, though.
Of course. Count my friend Kurt and I in — and I'm sure there are others who would be interested, too. [ she visibly perks up as she thinks of an idea. ] Are you going to ask around to gauge interest or make flyers?

I'm in room 12 > 144. No need to rush, but I will warn you that the ice cream is already slightly melty.
[that is reason to rush.]
voice; sorry for my lateness!! --> action;
[ and she is there rather fast, possibly because she traveled on ROLLER SKATES. ]
Before you ask, I've been practicing the Starlight Express choreography as a way of drowning out my sorrows.
action forever also no worries, there's no rush!

Alright, now we're all set. Talk to me.
♥
[ she offers a small smile as she sits (probably on Donna's bed) and starts taking off her roller skates. ]
Well, it's a bit of a long story, but the worst part is...my friend Blaine has disappeared.

but more importantly--

[ and Blaine is a drama king. she wants to say he wouldn't do something stupid, but. she really can't. ]
no subject
I'm sure he didn't do anything stupid. He probably went home.
[She's gotta cling to that, because--]
A good friend of mine disappeared too, and he's not the sort to make dramatic poor life choices. They're probably in the same boat.

I don't say things I don't believe. I've got my own reasons for thinking so, sure, but--yeah. I think they're okay.
[because they have to be, ultimately. She refuses to believe anything else, and so this is instilled with just as much confidence as the rest of her.]

That's okay, not many people spend time delving into the histories. You've got some good ones stored up in your head, and that's all that matters.
See, I'm still determined to put on that show of talent in some way or another, and I'll need some fellow Shakespeare enthusiasts to help me out.

I can definitely help with that.

Hmm, alright. You seem to be pretty on top of things like this.
[She nods, as if coming to a sudden decision.]
I'll leave it to you, then.
